 Duncton 100 and Trail Ride: Results and photosConditions ensured that the first Southern 100 Enduro of the season would indeed be a true test of endurance at the weekend. The big South Downs hills are a tough enough on a good day, but add in some unseasonably cold winds and a light, persistent rain, and you have a hard day in front of you. That didn't put off the more determined and hardened amongst you and, fortunately, with a total of four different distances on offer, there was still plenty of good riding for anyone who fancied a shorter trip out in the bracing conditions. Hopefully summer service will be resumed for the next 100; the Ridgeway 100 from Swindon. This excellent Enduro is the day one highlight of the Great Swindon Bike Ride, starting from the Nationwide Building Society's headquarters on the very edge of town. And there will be all the usual Trail Ride options, plus fun and family rides too! It's going to be a great day, so put it in your diary now! |

Southern 100 Enduros grow for 2010One of our most popular introductions in the past couple of years has been the Southern 100s. For a couple of events in the spring and summer, we've added full 60k and 100k enduro routes alongside the regular trail ride distances, and you've jumped at the chance to step up! |

Timing marches on in March!Our Southern Trail Ride series was the original series to develop the popular Trail Ride format, years ahead of the competition. We're staying ahead of the game too, keeping quality of the ride at the top of our priorities (there's no hidden retail agenda with us!) and, from March, introducing our state of the art transponder timing system to the events too! |

Woodcote refunds & transfers updateWell, conditions bore out our decision to cancel last weekends events at Woodcote, with extensive ice causing problems on the roads just as the forecasts suggested. We'd like to thank all of you for your understanding over this, the feedback we've received has been 100% supportive. We've even had one or two extremely kind offers to donate part of their refund to event costs, which is completely unnecessary, but greatly appreciated. We've agreed to donate those offers to out Big Santa appeal for Save the Children. We have now processed refunds to everyone who has requested them and made transfers on to future events where requested too. There are still a few pre entries we haven't heard back from yet; if you are one of these, at the moment your booking has been marked for transfer on to our next event weekend at Cranleigh. If you would prefer to be transferred to a subsequent event instead, or to receive a full refund, please contact us and we'll make the appropriate arrangements. We'll be emailing again everyone we haven't heard back from by the end of this week to arrange this. |

2008/09 Winter SchedulesThere's here plenty of great riding and events to come through the Winter with us here at Trail Break; here's the first set of dates. Southern Trail Ride / Navigator Dual weekends Yes, the Navigators are back, to accompany the Trail Rides as the Sunday half of our Dual event weekends throughout the winter. Here are the dates set so far: 8-9th November: Princes Risborough (Trail Ride Sat 8th, Navigator Sun 9th) 6-7th December: Queen Elizabeth Country Park, South Downs (Trail Ride Sat 8th, Navigator Sun 9th) 7-8th February: Woodcote, nr Reading (Trail Ride Sat 7th, Navigator Sun 8th) 7-8th March: To be confirmed And there's more to come - look out for a series of night events to be announced soon! |
