Winter Series 2004/05: Final Standings
The fight for Winter Series supremacy couldn't have been closer between the top competitors. The three best riders over the last three events were seperated by only two points.
Nick Dean won Super Vets and the season overall with a combined 484 points. Nick has ridden superbly over the winter but it was consistency that was the key to his success. Single Vets winner Nick Calkin (483 points) had a bad round at Duncton and top Single Male Jon Brooke (482) slipped up at the Princes Risborough final to lose his overall lead.
In other categories, Red Planets John Platt and Matt Kemp took Mens Team, Iwona Szmyd (Mosquito Bikes) was top in the womens categories while Matthew Merrel and Sophie Trimming won Mixed Team. Colin Steptoe and John Foster added the Winter series to their Autumn series title in Vets Team.
