Fat Tyre Navigator

Bramley, 11th February 2007

Rick Fetherstone was back on top form at Bramley, notching up an impressive 690 points on a drainingly wet course that got the better of many other riders. Scoring just 10 points short of a clearance and timing his run to perfection (finishing with just 30 seconds to spare) in those conditions was a remarkable performance.

Nick Calkin swapped to Vets Team, pairing up with Kevin Holloway to record a solid 660 points. Gary Shipp and Paul Smith were the only other riders to top 600, winning Mens team with 610 points.

Nick Dean took Super Vets again, despite losing time searching for an elusive checkpoint 6, Richard Evans was a comfortable winner in Single Men and Iwona Szmyd (Bikes@Hillcreast) put in one of the rides of the day to run away with the Womens competition and place 6th overall. Dean Stacey and Annie Marson took a narrow victory over Dave and Heather Monkcom in Mixed Team.

Special mention has to go to the six (count 'em) Family teams who turned out to take part in the muddy depths of February. Well done to the Thompson Family who won the category and to all of you for just having a crack at it.
