Summer Navigator series round 1 - Princes Risborough, 13th June 2004
The Summer series round one did exactly what it said on the tin as temperatures hit the 80s at Princes Risborough and the sun blazed away all day.
The heat and the hills made it a challenging competition or just a great days biking, depending on your outlook. The course took in the best of the fantastic dry trails though, so however the competition went the riding was fantastic.
Top honours for the day went to Nick Calkin who was on top form and outscored the rest of the field by a comfortable margin. A special mention should go to Pascale Medioni, a regular in the single womens category who managed to score a surprise win! We assume it was a surprise to her anyway as she didn't hang around for the prize giving. Congratulations anyway Pascale.
Don't miss round 2 at Wroughton on July 18th. It's a new location so there'll be a whole new set of trails to find your way around.
