April saved up about two weeks worth of showers and deposited them all on us in one go on Sunday. A healthy number turned out to ride anyway but more would certainly have been put off by the weather. A couple of respites and even brief glimpses of brightness ('sun' would be over stretching it) through the morning were a small but welcome mercy, but the trails were very different on the day to the firm, dry things they had been just 24 hours before.
Thanks must go to the Hogs Back Brewery for hosting the event and laying on some superb prizes. Hopefully we will enjoy better weather for our next event there (the Hogs Back Evans Trail Ride on June 5th) - a bit of sunshine will turn the brewery from a good event base into a great one!
Thanks too to Sarah from Sealskinz who put in a good days promotion in the cause of dry feet (but leave the demo weather behind next time, eh Sarah?). If you like the idea of getting back from a wet days riding with warmer and dryer tootsies, try your luck in our Sealskinz competition - you could win Sealskinz kit to see you through the whole year.
