Woodcote Events this weekend and the weather

Our Trail Ride and Navigator dual event weekend at  Woodcote is coming up, and following a number of questions about how the current wintry weather will affect the events, here’s the current situation.At the moment, we expect the events to go ahead as normal.  We have designed Saturdays Trail Ride route with the possibility of poor conditions in mind, however we are monitoring the weather forecasts in case the situation deteriorates to a level we would nor consider safe.Our primary concern is ice and unsafe road surfaces, both for riders travelling to the event and on the smaller lanes used on the course. The current weather forecast suggests daytime temperatures in the run up to the weekend that should see a reasonable thaw, although weather warnings for further snow on Thursday night and a colder night on Friday makes the outlook uncertain. If you are traveling far to the event, we recommend you monitor local forecasts for your journey conditions.We will update the situation on this page and would ask you to check this page on Thursday and Friday for the latest news. In the event that we should have to cancel the weekends rides on safety grounds, don’t worry, all pre entries will be receive a full refund.
